It started over 20 years ago when an unassuming young man, Rabbi Mordechai Katz, took upon himself to spread Torah, reaching out and helping the needy. Rabbi Katz, who wanted to spread goodness wherever he could, went to many broken homes and provided to all their needs: starting from checking their Mezuzahs and Phylacteries, up to lifting them from the abysses of darkness and pain to light and happiness. 20 years ago these activities evolved into a multidisciplinary organization, "Yad Malka". Yad Malka has since become synonymous with helping the needy in many aspects, with a vision of being there for any child, youth or adult in any area required: educational, financial, emotional or medical support. The organization grew enormously, spreading all over the country, extending a helping hand where needed. Tens of Yad Malka volunteers provide help to youngsters in distress, keeping them from falling to the fringes of society. Furthermore, the organization helps these families financially and provides food baskets to the house. These endeavors just keep growing and spreading to many different communities fulfilling its vision of being there for every individual in distress with care and empathy.
