They arrive from all corners of the earth, lost and confused, not quite acclimating. The difficult beginnings may drag them down spiritually and harm the education of their offspring. That’s exactly what Yad Malka was created for, to bring light to their daily drabness, to support them with love and show them that there are different possibilities too! -Therapy: Every teenager needs a listening ear and an understanding heart. Therapists at Yad Malka grant them this professionally and with endless empathy. -Educators: The organization employs tens of professional and experienced educators that mentor and guide these youths, from before their Bar Mitzvah and later on too, supporting wherever needed: emotionally, spiritually and learning wise. That’s how they gain a devoted friend who will keep them from straying. -Private lessons: It's no secret that a teen struggling academically and doesn’t get help is bound to get thrown out of the system. Volunteers at Yad Malka guide these teenagers step by step until they succeed with God's help
Help for medical cases
Their world plunged to darkness. The illness strangles them, sapping their strengths. Who will support them? Who will advise them where to turn to? Who will help them get to another painful treatment? Yad Malka is the first address! -Transport to hospitals: A network of devoted volunteers help the patient get to his ongoing treatment or to appointment to distant hospitals. -Medical advice: An expert medical advisor will guide the patient to the relevant treatment with the best doctor for the specific medical issue he suffers from. Sometimes this guidance is the way for them to a healthy life! -Help with medication: It's no secret that the meager national health fund for medicine does not cover many essential medications a patient may need. Sometimes the patient is forced to choose between groceries and the much needed medication. Yad Malka helps fund medication in these instances. -Medical equipment gemach: At Yad Malka one can borrow almost any medical equipment from humidifiers to walkers. The many applicants enjoy using the gemach's equipment and when they are finished, it gets passed on to the next user
